Metro line 4

The Fourth Line (Line 4) will start from the El-Haram district and extend to the 6th of October city at the intersection of the Ring Road. The first phase, spanning 17.2 km, includes 15 stations and features two interchange stations connecting Line 4 with Lines 1 and 2.

The development of Line 4 is divided into three phases:

First Phase:

  • Underground Stations: El-Malek El-Saleh, Giza, Grand Egyptian Museum.
  • Above-ground Stations: Masaken El-Remaya, Hadayek Al-Ahram, final station at the intersection of Ring Road and El-Wahat Road.

Second Phase:

  • Runs from El-Malek El-Saleh to Zahraa Nasr City, passing through El-Sawah Square, El-Mataria Square, El-Qalaa area, Islamic Cairo, and Nasr City.

Third Phase:

  • Extends from El-Malek El-Saleh to El-Sawah Square, El-Khosos area, and El-Mataria Square, ultimately reaching the Ring Road and the entrance to the 6th of October city.

Stations include:

Hadayek El-Ashgar, Hadayek El-Ahram, Grand Egyptian Museum, El-Remaya Square, El-Ahram, El-Mariotia, El-Arish, El-Matbaa, El-Talbia, Madkour, El-Mesaha, Giza (transfer station to Line 2), Giza Square, Rawda, El-Malek El-Saleh (transfer station to Line 1), Fustat, Salah El-Din Citadel, El-Malek Mansour, El-Hay El-Sades (6th District), El-Tayran, Abbas El-Akkad, Makram Ebeid, Ahmed El-Zomor, El-Methaq, and Mubarak Academy.

Line 4 is designed to enhance connectivity and facilitate easy transit across Cairo, linking significant areas and landmarks throughout the city.
