Potable Water Structures Injection

Maintaining the structural integrity of potable water reservoirs is a specialized engineering discipline. Active leakage in drinking water structures leads to massive resource loss and risks groundwater contamination. EG Core utilizes High-Pressure Polyurethane (PU) Injection to create permanent, flexible seals in concrete tanks across Egypt.

Certified Resin Technology

For drinking water assets, material safety is paramount. We exclusively use NSF/ANSI 61 certified resins. These solvent-free, non-toxic hydrophobic polyurethanes react instantly with water to form a dense, closed-cell foam. This ensures a watertight barrier that withstands high hydrostatic pressure without leaching harmful chemicals into the potable water supply.

Injection System Specifications

  • Application: Negative-side crack injection & honeycombing repair.
  • Material: Hydrophilic PU Resins & Acrylic Gels for micro-sealing.
  • Equipment: High-pressure electric pumps with staggered mechanical packers.
  • Durability: Chemical resistance to treated water and pH fluctuations.

Structural Protection & Sealing

Our Acrylic Gel injection techniques are deployed for micro-cracks and expansion joints where traditional membranes fail. By injecting from the interior (negative side), we protect the concrete’s reinforcement steel from carbonation and chloride-induced corrosion, significantly extending the service life of Egypt’s water infrastructure.

Injections can be used in the following:

  • Protection of the concrete against the ingress of harmful substances through cracks and cavities
  • Waterproofing of the building structure against infiltration and exfiltration
  • Sealing of cracks and cavities in order to create smooth, hygienically sound surfaces that are easy to clean
  • Filling of cracks, flaws and cavities in structural concrete
