Tunnel Injection is the primary method for sealing active leaks and reinforcing the rock or soil surrounding the tunnel lining. One of our core techniques for tunnels is Curtain Injection. This involves drilling through the tunnel lining to inject Acrylic Gels or Polyurethane into the exterior soil-lining interface. This creates an external waterproof "curtain" that stops water pressure from reaching the concrete, effectively sealing large areas of seepage and filling voids caused by erosion.
For tunnels under heavy hydrostatic pressure, we utilize hydrophilic polyurethanes that expand up to 20 times their volume when in contact with water. This ensures that even the most aggressive leaks are choked off instantly. Our methods prevent long-term corrosion of the tunnel’s steel reinforcement, ensuring the infrastructure remains stable for decades.
